The API is open to every account, and assistants can sign in

Two changes to how Liinks connects to everything else.

The API is open to every account. Creating an API key used to depend on your plan. It no longer does. Anyone with a Liinks account can create a key from Settings > API Keys and use the Public API or connect an AI assistant. Plan limits still apply where they always did, so creating extra managed profiles is still a Pro capability, but reading and editing the profile you already have is now available to everyone.

Assistants can sign in instead of holding a key. Connecting Claude, ChatGPT, Meta Muse, or any other MCP client used to mean pasting a token into a config file. Now most clients only need the server address:

https://www.liinks.co/api/mcp

The first time the assistant reaches for Liinks, it sends you to a Liinks consent screen. You sign in, see exactly which permissions the assistant is asking for, and approve them one by one: read your profile, edit it, read your audience, read your analytics. Nothing gets copied or pasted, and the connection can never grant itself more than you gave it.

Connected assistants show up under Settings > API Keys as "Connected app" rows next to any keys you made yourself. Revoking one there cuts it off immediately.

Analytics joined the API too. Two new endpoints, and two new tools for assistants, return the same numbers the Analytics tab shows: views, visitors, clicks and click-through rate for a period, plus traffic broken down by country, referrer, device, and campaign. "How did my page do this week, and which link got the most clicks?" is now a question you can ask an assistant.

See Connect an AI Assistant (MCP) and the Public API for the details.
