Fiona Mutual Aid Donations
A reminder to everyone motivated to do aid work for Puerto Rico: support honestly without expectation of reward or recognition. Support truthfully by giving what is asked of you and not what you think others need. Support strategically by giving to those doing grassroots work that has long-term impact and builds community power. By now we should all know that one-off fixes often do more hurt than help. We’ve compiled a list of trusted organizations (link in bio) which we will update as new and better information comes in. If you’re not sure how or who to support, start there, do your research, DONATE, and listen to what folks in the communities are asking for. Mutual Aid is our community’s power. Finding trust-worthy organizations doing meaningful work on the ground not only helping people address moments of crisis but building toward a self-reliant, cooperative, and sustainable future can be a daunting task. Below is a working list of trusted organizations engaging in grassroots short, mid, and long term aid work.
Fiona Community Response Fund
Supports a coalition of community-led organizations working on immediate response to fulfill needs over the short- and long-term. It is a partnership of approximately 25 organizations including the Maria Fund, Taller Salud, Ayuda Legal Puerto Rico, Institutio Agroecologia, Campamento contra las cenizas de Peñuelas, Étnica, and others.

Feminist grassroots organization based in Loiza focused on health.
Environmental social justice community organization focused on sustainable development.
Organization dedicated to building and rehabilitating roofs in communities affected by natural disasters.
AgitArte is an organization of working class artists and cultural organizers who work at the intersections of race, class, gender, sexuality and ideology.
